Gunmakers are asking a federal judge to dismiss Mexico’s lawsuit. The government there is suing ten manufacturers, including Smith and Wesson, Colt, and Glock. They’re accused of facilitating the sale of guns to drug cartels, leading to thousands of deaths.

While President Biden is tapping Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for a second term. He made it official during a White House ceremony, praising the Fed for its role in a “robust” economic recovery.
