FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A pediatric dentist in Fort Wayne will spend five years on probation after pleading guilty to obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or deception.
49-year-old Lucian Boboia was the second-largest purchaser of fentanyl by a dentist in the nation according to the Drug Enforcement Agency and the investigation showed he did not use it for medical purposes.
WANE-TV reports that court documents show Boboia had the authorization to order and administer controlled substances as part of his practice, but the DEA found he was ordering them every week and telling employees not to open them.
