Family-friendly Oktoberfest to be held at Deer Park Pub this weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Deer Park Irish Pub will celebrate fall with their third annual family-friendly Oktoberfest starting at 7-11:00 pm Friday, October 11th.

Patrons will leap into lederhosen to polka dance and hoist German lager Oktoberfest beers.
Imported Munich Gold and Warsteiner Dunkel Lagers will be poured as well as Sam Adams and Yuengling Oktoberfest biers.

This event is sure to bring out the German in all of us. Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, The Jay Fox & The Jammin’ Germans will lead us into Polkas. At 8:30 pm, led by Uncle Heindrich, an adult Steinhoisting competition – sponsored by Sam Adam’s will be held. Twelve men and twelve women will compete for a trophy stein.

With a cover charge of $5.00, guests will receive a Deer Park German Signature 1. Liter & .5- liter steins. Children under 12 are admitted for free. Bratwurst, Hotdogs, German potato salad, Pretzels and Deserts will be served at a nominal cost.
Parking is free at USF directly across the street from the Deer Park.
