Wabash man arrested on child seduction charges

WABASH CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana State Police say that a Wabash man is facing charges of child seduction.

ISP officials say that on Wednesday, after a criminal investigation, Indiana State Police Detective Josh Maller resulted in the arrest of Charles G Marseilles Jr, 46, 5233 South 50 East, Wabash, IN.

Maller served Marseilles with a Wabash Circuit Court arrest warrant alleging felony charges for child solicitation by a child care worker for sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct with a child and child solicitation by a child care worker engaged in fondling or touching of a child 16 to 17 years of age.

Maller started an investigation after receiving information from the Wabash County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services that Marseilles, a former employee of the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility, allegedly performed sexual acts on a 16-year-old resident of the facility.

The investigation revealed that in December of 2019, Marseilles purportedly committed sexual acts on a 16-year-old boy at the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility. At the time, Marseilles was employed, at the facility, as a campus life specialist.

Marseilles is no longer employed at the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility.
