INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana State Police are throwing their weight behind a new fundraiser that would provide meals for our healthcare workers in the central part of the state.
The new “Bolt For The Heart” fundraising event, which starts Wednesday, consists of a virtual 5K whose purpose is to provide meals for the Emergency Room Healthcare Heroes, who are working to keep us safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The money raised from this effort will purchase coffee and food from Java House Coffee and Titus Bakery, for donation to the emergency rooms around our Central Indiana hospitals. Those wishing to participate can register by clicking here.
“What is a Virtual Run? Pick a time and place that is convenient for you. Run, walk, row, or climb steps. You can do this on your own, with your family, with a friend or even with your dog. Please follow the social distancing guidelines, if you participate in this virtual option with a friend.”
To participate, click the link above to register for the Virtual 5K online. The first 100 registered participants will receive a medal and a t-shirt. Run, walk, row or climb stairs as your 5K (3.1 miles) between today, March 25th and April 5th. Track your time and then upload your time online. You may also share a photo or video of you doing your 5K on Facebook or Instagram. Tag Bolt for the Heart.
