Some Catholics skeptical of new J&J vaccine citing moral concerns

SAN ANTONIO (ADAMS) – Some Catholics across the country are avoiding the new Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine over claims that it’s made with cells derived from abortions.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades is chairman of the U.S. Conference of Bishops Committee on Doctrine and he’s trying to calm any moral and ethical concerns people may have.

Rhoades is the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend. The Vatican has also come out with a statement on the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, saying it’s “morally acceptable.”
