Hoosiers with sickle cell disease can now get a COVID vaccine

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Hoosiers with sickle cell disease can now get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center says sickle cell patients age 16 and older are the first group with comorbidities to be eligible for the vaccine in Indiana.

There are nearly 1,500 people with sickle cell disease in the Hoosier state.

Those seeking the COVID vaccine will go through their doctor and will be given a one-time code and link they can use to register.
