DVR alert! Here’s What’s on TV Today

Did you know Americans watch the most TV? Of course we do – with like 300 different networks producing so many original shows it’d literally be impossible to find enough time to watch all of ’em.
But we’re gonna try. According to a study, people in North America watch more TV than anyone else in the world. We watch an average of four hours and three minutes a day, which is WELL above the worldwide average of just under three hours.

The study also found that American TV shows are the most popular worldwide. British shows are second. You can celebrate our achievement with some great new television.

New TV:

  • “Norman Lear’s All in the Family and the Jeffersons”at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.  A live performance of one episode from each of those classic shows.  It’s followed at 9:30 p.m. by a tribute special hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

 

The live performance features Woody Harrelson playing Archie Bunker opposite Marisa Tomei as Edith, and Ellie Kemper as their daughter Gloria.  Jamie Foxx and Wanda Sykes are George and Louise Jefferson, and Justina Machado from “One Day at a Time” is their sarcastic maid Florence.

 

  • The first season finale of “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists”at 8:00 p.m. on Freeform.

 

  • The fourth season finale of “Chicago Med”at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.

 

  • The seventh season finale of “Chicago Fire”at 9:00 p.m. on NBC.

 

  • The sixth season finale of “Chicago PD”at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.

 

  • The second season finale of “SEAL Team”at 10:00 p.m. on CBS.

 

  • The season finale of “Whiskey Cavalier”at 10:00 p.m., which ABC’s cancelled.

 

  • The third season finale of “Brockmire”at 10:00 p.m. on IFC.

 

Wednesday Late-Night Talk Shows:

  • “Jimmy Fallon”- Millie Bobby Brown, Jeff Ross, Richard Curtis, and Lang Lang.
  • “Jimmy Kimmel”- John Travolta, Ella Bleu Travolta, Lala Milan, and Chika.
  • “Stephen Colbert”- Kaitlyn Dever (“Booksmart” and “Last Man Standing”).  Plus:  Senator Kamala Harris.
  • “James Corden”- Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Whitford, David Tennant, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
