Being a dog-walker for LADY GAGA may seem like a posh job . . . but it almost got a guy killed. And that’s not a joke.
On Wednesday night, Gaga’s dog-walker Ryan Fischer was out with her three French bulldogs . . . Gustav, Koji, and Miss Asia. At around 9:40 P.M., a car pulled up alongside them, and two thieves jumped out.
They yelled at Ryan to “give it up,” but he really put up a fight. The bad guys were NOT messing around . . . and they SHOT HIM in the stomach with a semiautomatic handgun.
Okay . . . first off, Ryan is okay. He’s “recovering well” at the hospital.
As for the dogs, Lady Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward for their return . . . no questions asked.
Of course, SHE may not ask any questions, but the cops will . . . this wasn’t just a dognapping, there was a gun and an ATTEMPTED MURDER.
Now, you might be wondering what the endgame is here. Even the stupidest criminal should know that they’re not going to shoot Gaga’s dog-walker, steal her dogs, cash in on the ransom, and then ride off into the sunset, scot-free.
So, they might not be holding them hostage.
In fact, the perps might not have even known (or cared) that the dogs were Lady Gaga’s. The American Kennel Club says dog theft is an increasingly big problem, and French Bulldogs are among the most popular targets.
They’re worth a lot of money, AND they’re relatively “easy to grab and run with.”
At the time of the shooting, Gaga was in Rome shooting her role in Ridley Scott’s movie “Gucci”. She hasn’t said anything publicly about the dog-walker, but it’s safe to assume that she’ll make sure he’s taken care of.
There are no suspects yet. The car was supposedly a white Nissan Altima.

- TMZ has an UNCENSORED VIDEO of the shooting and dog abduction, and it’s hard to watch. You can hear the gunshot and Ryan screaming for help. It’s hard to hear what’s being said, but there IS an F-BOMB at the end.
- By the way, “Entertainment Tonight” talked with someone who knows Ryan, and he thinks that the dogs WERE stolen because they were Gaga’s. He said Ryan walked the dogs there at that same time every day.
- French Bulldogs CAN go for more than$10,000, but a stolen dog wouldn’t have its official paperwork, so it would probably only sell for $2,500. But if someone knew they were buying Gaga’s dog . . . who knows.
