Having everyone home all the time means there’s a lot more work to do around the house. A LOT more.
According to a new survey, the average woman says she’s doing almost twice as much stuff around the house as she was a year ago. In March of last year, women say they had an average of seven responsibilities at home . . . now it’s up to 13.
Only one in 10 say their partner is doing as much around the house as they are.
(The survey only asked women, so we don’t have any data on how men are seeing the responsibility split.)
Some of the new tasks that women have taken on in the past year are: Taking care of the kids . . . doing more cooking . . . taking care of elderly relatives . . . providing support to friends and family . . . and doing more chores.
