Tom Henry among bipartisan Indiana mayors calling for gun control

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Five Indiana mayors have signed on to a national gun control pitch. The Democratic mayors of Indianapolis, Anderson, Fort Wayne, and Gary along with the Republican mayor of Carmel all signed a letter in support of the plan yesterday.

They want a new law from Congress that expands background checks for people who buy guns and a new federal 10-day waiting period.

The proposals passed in the House last year, with all of Indiana’s Republican congressmen voting against them.
