STEUBEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office has made several arrests of alleged non-compliant registered sex offenders in recent days.
Officials say that sheriff’s detectives investigated five separate incidents of non-compliance and made four arrests and released the following:
The suspects apprehended were identified as:
28-year-old Nathan James Norton of LaGrange, IN – Booked into the Steuben County Jail on 11/21/2023 on one count of Failure to Register As a Sex or Violent Offender, a level 6 felony. Norton later posted bond and was released.
65-year-old Gerry Glen Neuhaus of Hudson, IN – Booked into the Steuben County Jail on 11/21/2023 on one count of Failure to Register As a Sex or Violent Offender, a level 6 felony. Neuhaus later posted bond and has been released.
61-year-old Dennis Dwayne Deam of Pleasant Lake, IN – Booked into the Steuben County Jail on 11/22/2023 on one count of Failure to Register As a Sex or Violent Offender, a level 6 felony. Deam later posted bond and has been released.
45-year-old Joshua Jason Ringler of Hudson, IN – Booked into the Steuben County Jail on 11/25/2023 on two counts of Failure to Register As a Sex or Violent Offender, a level 6 felony, and one count of Sex Offender Failing to Possess an Indiana ID or Driver’s License, a class A misdemeanor. Ringler remains held in lieu of a $5,500.00 bond.
